Generations of Summer
Help Us Keep the Tradition Alive
For 71 years, Eastridge Pool has been more than a place to swim—it's where neighbors become family and memories span generations.
Eastridge Pool is a private community pool managed by Eastridge Recreational Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. EIN: 47-0411976. All donations are tax-deductible.

Preserve This Gift for the Next Generation
Seventy-one years ago, neighbors chose connection over houses—creating a pool where friendships form and memories span generations. Parents who splashed here as children now watch their own kids discover the same joy.
But this gift isn't guaranteed. It exists because people continue to care—volunteers show up, donors give, and our community refuses to let it fade.
Your donation maintains this rare treasure, ensuring kids keep learning to swim, families keep gathering, and our community stays connected for decades to come.
Three Generations, One Pool
When Bill Janike managed Eastridge Pool in the early 1960s, he couldn't have imagined he was cultivating legacy.
His son Pat moved back to Eastridge specifically for the pool: "That was the place where I met my neighbors. I wanted that same experience for my own kids."
Today, Bill's grandson Lucas works as a lifeguard and competitive swimmer. "I don't think I would've found swimming without Eastridge Pool," he says. "It was actually fun to go swimming. You know everyone there."
Three generations playing gutterball in the same pool. Three generations discovering community, friendship, and belonging. That's the gift we're preserving together.

A Rare Gift Worth Protecting
Eastridge Pool is a rare gift—one that most neighborhoods don't have anymore. It's a place built not by developers or corporations, but by generations of neighbors who believed in something bigger than themselves: a place where kids learn to swim, teens find their summer community, and families come together year after year.
But that gift isn't guaranteed. It exists only because people continue to care. Because volunteers show up. Because donors give. Because this community refuses to let it fade away.
The next chapter of Eastridge depends on all of us—to maintain it, to fund it, to protect it, and to pass it on. Together, we can make sure this pool—and all the memories it holds—remain a cornerstone of our community for the next seventy years and beyond.
